"Acoustic Africa" Coming to Lafayette

Trio of African musicians to play in Easton Friday.

Acoustic Africa, a trio of celebrated African female vocalists, will perform Friday night at Lafayette College.

The group is led by dancer/vocalist Dobet Gnahoré, joined by Manu Gallo, a singer and bass player, and Cameroonian singer Kareyce Fotso.

"The power of the women’s voices backed by an ensemble of traditional African instruments creates an exciting hybrid world of ancestry, innovation, and discovery," the college said in a news release.
