7 Things to Do in Easton in August

Mayor's Office of Special Events schedules movies, music for August.

August, like all warm weather months in Easton, will be pretty busy.

Among the things to do around the city are these events being sponsored by the Mayor's Office of Special Events (aka the MOOSE):

  • August 6 – Movies in the Park, The Odd Life of Timothy Green, at dark in Heil Park's pavilion on Packer Avenue. (You should bring your own chairs/blankets for all Movies in the Park showings.)
  • August 8- Movies in the Park, Despicable Me, 8:30pm, Boys & Girls Club, 210 Jones Houston Way.
  • August 10- Battle of the Bands, Scott Park. Local bands will compete from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. (It will get moved to August 17 in the event of rain.)
  • August 15– Movies in the Park Madagascar 3, 8:30pm, Nevin Park, Lafayette St. & Taylor Ave.
  • August 17- Easton Municipal Band performs James Bond music at 7:30pm, in Scott Park, followed by Skyfall, the latest Bond movie.
  • August 22- Movies in the Park, The Pirates! Band of Misfits, 8:30pm, Easton Area Community Center, 901 Washington St.
