5 Things to Do in Easton This Weekend

Music at Lafayette, the Nurture Nature Center turns one, and more...

Good morning everyone. Friday is here, and that means it's time to look at what's happening this weekend.

1. The Nurture Nature Center celebrates its first anniversary Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with the debut of a new show on their sphere, "The Greatest Show on Earth." While you're there, you can also check out the indoor farmers' market, which runs at the same time.

2. Lafayette College's concert band performs works by Gustav Holst, Aaron Copland, Gustav Mahler, and John Mackey, along with the world premiere of Director Kirk O'Riordan's new piece for winds, Saturday at 8 p.m. at the Williams Center for the Performing Arts.

3. Children's author Louisa Luisi will sign copies of her book Your Best Coaches Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Giacomo's Market in Easton. All proceeds from sales of her book will go to the Pennsylvania Chapter of The Children's Heart Foundation.

4. The duo of singer/saxophone player Gary Hassay and William Parker, on the acoustic bass, will perform Saturday at 8 p.m. at ConneXions Gallery.

5. More live music tonight: Lucky 7 at 8 p.m. at the newly opened Rivals Sports Bar, and Pocket Tee at 10 p.m. at Pearly Baker's.
