5 Things to Do in Easton This Weekend

The School of Rock goes punk, bagpipes at the State Theatre, and more...

Good morning everyone. Friday is here, which means it's time again to look at what's happening this weekend in Easton.

1. The School of Rock performs the music of CBGB -- think Blondie, The Ramones and Talking Heads -- tonight at 8 at Rival's.

2. The Blackwatch 3rd Battalion -- a bagpipe and drum group -- performs Sunday at 3 p.m. at the State Theatre.

3. Selectronics and Dada Trash Collage play Saturday night at 9 at Porter's.

4. ConneXions hosts an open mic night tonight at 8. Musicians, poets, comedians and other performers welcome. Play three songs/15 minutes. 

5. Check out the music -- and food -- at Easton's newest restaurants: The Big Wahu brings contemporary and Caribbean music to Mesa Saturday from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., while the Jack Furlong Jazz Trio plays Two Rivers Brewing Saturday at 9 p.m.
