West Ward Partnership Head Hospitalized

Esther Guzman, who directs Easton's , was hospitalized Thursday with an infection.

Blogger Noel Jones reports that Guzman could be in Muhlenberg Hospital for six weeks dealing with what a preliminary diagnosis says is osteomyelitis, a bone infection.

The infection began in Guzman's finger but has spread to both hands and her leg, Jones' Neighbors of Easton blog reports. While she's away, WWNP's Dennis Leib will run the Northampton Street office.

The West Ward Neighborhood Partnership is an Easton-based arm of the Community Action Committe of the Lehigh Valley. Founded in 2005, it provides a variety of health, education and economic-assistance programs to resident of Easton's West Ward.
