Viewfinder: Crossing Guards
A weekly gallery of people at work or play in and around Easton.
In Wilson Borough 18 school crossing guards work every school day to make sure children who walk from home to and from the borough schools , cross streets safely.
Karen Verba, who has served as a guard since 1997, is coordinator of the guards and handles the scheduling and checks daily to be sure the street corners near Wilson, Avona and St. Jane Frances de Chantal Elementary Schools and Wilson Middle School and Wilson Area High School are staffed by the guards.
