Main Street Lights Up Easton Alleys

New lighting installed along Bank Street in downtown Easton.

The Easton Main Street Initiative says it is wrapping up work on installing "European-style café lighting" on some of the city's alleys.

After putting up lights along Lehn's Court in September, the initiative says extra lighting should be installed along North and South Bank Street by the end of the week.

The initiative says the project showcases the downtown Easton's "retail and restaurants and also adds a lighting element for evening hours and increases walkability through the downtown."

The project was funded by the initiative, a grant from  Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber Foundation, Mayor Sal Panto, property owners Rich Rosati and Jonathan Davis & Greg Schuyler and nearby businesses Maxim’s 22, EPS Financial, School of Rock and Terra Cafe

A dedication ceremony is scheduled for Satuday at 11 a.m. between the Bank Street alleys on Northampton Street.
