5 Places to Watch Super Bowl XLVII in Easton

The Baltimore Ravens face off against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, Feb. 3.

This Sunday, the Baltimore Ravens will take on the San Francisco 49ers for Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans.

But chances are, you won't be taking a trip down south to see the game in person. And maybe you don't feel like hosting a big party. Here's another option: Go out to watch the game.

Here's a look at some great local options for places to catch the Super Bowl this Sunday.

You can head over to the fairly-new-in-town Rivals Sports Bar, whose pre-game festivities begin at noon.

If that's not your cup-of-tea, head next door to Mother's at kick-off time, or around the corner to Drinky's, or Wilson's The Pickled Egg to all of which are holding Super Bowl parties.

And finally, we admit that Dubs on 5th in West Easton hasn't been on our radar before now, but this new sports bar -- owned by a retired Easton detective -- will be host its own Super Bowl party today, and also -- according to its Facebook page -- hold a canned food drive at the same time.

Where will you be watching the Super Bowl this weekend? Let us know in the comments.

I am a veteran school administrator in the New Jersey public schools and I have three young childrenRead More in the district. I am frightened and worried about our schools. What would it take for the PADOE to take over the district? Electing new board members is not enough. We need help from the state as soon as possible. The district needs to be stabilized and then everything from soup to nuts must be assessed by an outside educational entity. Our children deserve much better!

I hear the NFSA does a good job helping school districts and from the list of PA schools a number ofRead More local schools, like Parkland and some in Bucks County participate. Maybe this is something Easton needs to do. http://www.schoolfoundations.org/en/about_nsfa/
