Beach Boys, Crime Novelist Thursday in Easton

A look at what's happening today in Easton.

Good morning, everyone. It's Thursday, Sept. 26. Let's take a look at what today has to offer us:

1. The Beach Boys play this evening at 7:30 at the State Theatre. The group is led by founding member Mike Love and Brian Johnston, who joined the band in 1965 and helped write some of its biggest hits.

2. Crime novelist Wallace Stroby will be at 7:00 this evening at the Easton Area Public Library to talk about crime and his novel Kings of Midnight. Named one of the Best Books of 2012 by Kirkus Review, the novel was released in paperback this month.

3. Easton Area Middle School holds an open house for parents of seventh and eighth graders from 6 p.m to 8:30 p.m.

4. The Easton Branch of the AAUW resumes its book sale today at 10 a.m. at Eddyside Park. It's half-price day, which means hardcover books are just a dollar each. The sale continues Friday and Saturday.
