Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

About this column:

We're picking the best the city has to offer...with your help, of course.
Throughout the Lehigh valley, Patch polled readers to find the best places to get breakfast in our neighborhoods. After five days of voting, the winners have come in. Check out who won below and let us know what you think by commenting and leaving a review of your favorites.  Next week, come back to vote on the best park in your Patch. This week, we're asking you to pick Easton's Best Breakfast Spot. Last week, quite a few of you responded to our Best Coffee poll, and we thank you for that. I'm listing the choices below, with a poll that goes with it. As always, we invite you to list anything you think we missed in the comments. I know a few people on Facebook and Twitter suggested Diner 248. I'll leave that to the Palmer-Forks Patch to take care of them (and the Tic Toc Diner, for that matter). For the second week in a row, a College Hill establishment has won our "Best of..." poll. Cosmic Cup was the easy winner of our Best Coffee poll, taking 78 percent of the vote. Last week's winner in our Best Take-Out poll was Pizza D'Oro, located just around the corner from Cosmic Cup. Terra Cafe came in second place, with 11 percent. Cosmic Cup had mounted a campaign for the poll on its Facebook page. Thanks to everyone who voted. We'll be back next week with the best place to have breakfast.
I used to drink a ridiculously unhealthy amount of coffee. Now that I'm older, I've cut back, but I still appreciate a good cup. And in Easton, I have a lot of places to choose from. But this isn't about my favorites, but yours. For the second installment of our "Best of..." series, we're picking the best places to get coffee in Easton. (There might be some Wilson addresses here too.) I tried to keep the list manageable, and left off things like WaWa and Dunkin Donuts, because there's just too many of them. Here's who's in the running. Cosmic Cup Green Harvest Juice and Coffee Shop Quadrant …

Congratulations, Pizza D'Oro, on winning our first reader poll, the best take-out in Easton. I suspect the College Hill Neighborhood Association -- which put out a call to its Twitter followers on Tuesday -- might have helped. At any rate, Pizza D'Oro took home 30 percent of the vote, beating other Easton pizzerias like Pino's and Gino's. Thanks to everyone who voted, and for those who recommended other restaurants that weren't on our list.  We'll be back on Monday with our next poll, seeking your picks for the best coffee in Easton.
Today we're introducing a new weekly feature, a poll seeking "the best" of Easton. If you're a reader of any of our other local sites, you'll know that it's something that's happening Patch-wide. First up, we're looking for the best take-out place in the city. Easton has a lot of restaurants, so I've tried to narrow down the choices to 12 spread around the city.  Vote for your favorite in the survey below and try click the links above and rate the business on its Patch Place listing. You can even leave a review. Apollo Pizza & Restaurant Colonial Pizza and Spaghetti House Gino's Pizza Great …
