Zombies Coming to Easton Next Month

Easton schedules Halloween events for October, including a zombie pub crawl.

This Halloween, Easton seems to be taking a page from the British movie Shaun of the Dead.

In Edgar Wright's horror comedy, slacker hero Shaun and his mates hole up inside their favorite pub as they try to survive a zombie outbreak.

On Oct. 13, the organizers of the Easton Haunted Walking Tour will hold a Zombie Pub Crawl from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

It's part of a series of Halloween events throughout October leading up to the walking tour:

  • A family movie night on Oct. 6 in Scott Park: Monsters Vs. Aliens at 7 p.m., followed by Night of the Living Dead at 9 p.m. Costumes optional.
  • The Nurture Nature Center hosts the first ever Monsters Ball, a masquerade party, at 7 p.m. on Oct. 20. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door.
  • The walking tour happens Oct. 26 and 27, with groups leaving from Centre Square at 8 both nights. Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 on the nights of the tour.

Tickets for all these events are available at the Easton Main Street office at 35 S. Third St., at the Easton Farmers' Market Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and at the following businesses: Cosmic Cup, ConneXions, Easton Yoga, iMiJ Shop, Just Around the Corner, Salvage Goods, Easton Outdoor, Black & Blue, Porters Pub.
