Masked Robber Pistol-Whips Woman, Police Say
Police say two Exxon employees were tied up by masked robbers Monday morning.
The robbers came in before dawn, wearing masks. They pistol-whipped one clerk, got the other to open the register, and then tied up both women.
That's the account Wilson police give for what happened early Monday at the Square One Exxon on Northampton Street.
According to police, two women were working at the station around 3:30 a.m. when it was robbed by a pair of men, both wearing masks.
One robber chased one of the clerks down, hit her with a handgun, and then tied her up.
The second robber jumped over the counter, got the cashier to open the register, and then tied her up as well. It's not clear how much cash they got away with.
The robbers were tall, thin and wearing masks and gloves. The employees refused medical treatment, police said.

I know it sounds "end times" but this is another reason to stop using cash and go to a debit/credit card only system. Yes, there is still fraud that has to be watched for, but there is no physical violence. Of course, then people will still steal items to sell. But if there is no cash to buy them and only a paper trail from the credit/debit then it would be easier to track. THe criminals would have to go to a large complex bartering system. Perhaps the best solution is to actually teach your kids right from wrong!

Oh please!! That's never going to happen, how about you lock the front doors and use the side drive up window for whatever they want. And I would change the window to one that revolves. The times are changing, and people need to change with it. Two WOMEN working at night. It should be one each. Police should be on watch around the 24 hour places and BE MORE VISIBLE both in EASTON and WILSON !!
