Wilson Police Hope to ID Burglary Suspect

Police in Wilson say the same man was behind several break-ins Monday morning.

 

Wilson police are hoping the public can help identify a man they say committed a series of burglaries Monday morning.

Police released a surveillance photo Thursday from one of the six businesses that were burglarized.

According to police, the burglaries happened between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. Monday. The following businesses were involved:

  • George’s Pizzeria, 2049 Freemansburg Ave. An unknown amount of cash was stolen.
  • Delsco Carpet, 2015 Freemansburg Ave. An unknown amount of cash, and possible a laptop, were taken.
  • Easton Auto Exchange, 1845 Freemansburg Ave. Unknown amount of cash was taken.
  • George’s Luncheonette, 1716 Butler St. Attempted break-in.
  • Butler Street Auto Sales, 1701 Butler St. Building broken into, but it's not clear if anything was taken.
  • Aunt Bessie’s Used Cars, 1650 Butler St. Cash stolen, possibly a laptop as well.
