Video: Hip-Hop on Easton's South Side
Watch a Philadelphia rapper freestyle on West Lincoln Street.
Every so often, I check You Tube to find Easton-related videos. Ninety percent of what's there is ads for cars and homes.
But every so often, I'll find something interesting.
Today, I came across this: a video of a Philadelphia rapper called Mook Mean -- who apparently went to Easton Area High School, according to his Facebook page -- offering up a couple of minutes of verse outside the old Stewart Silk Mill on West Berwick Street.
It's less than a block from my front door. (My exact thought: "Hey, that graffiti and those dead weeds look familiar!") The city put the property on its "blighted" list, but until then, it's a pretty nice backdrop for musicians who want photos that say "rough streets."
