Preparing to pit his chili against dozens of others this weekend, Two Rivers Brewing chef Jeremy Bialker took to Twitter to discuss his progress,

"Honestly, my best batch to date," he wrote.

Apparently, the judges at the 18th annual Pearly Baker's Alehouse chili cook-off agreed, awarding Two Rivers -- a first-time competitor -- with the Judge's Choice Award. 

Another brew pub, the Trapp Door in Emmaus, won the People's Choice Award, the Express-Times reported.

Pearly Baker's holds its chili cook-off each year on Super Bowl Sunday. This year, the event was held to raise money for Easton's Ambassadors program.
