Rain did not dampen excitement last night at the annual film festival at the former Simon Silk Mill property.

"Movies at the Mill" withstood the first inclement weather to hit the film festival in its four-year history.

Movie goers enjoyed food and drinks before taking cover in the large white tent that organizers decided to erect as a safety measure to protect the celebration of culinary, musical and dramatic arts.

This year's festival included music by the Floyd King Quartet, as well as a video of work by Allentown artist Vicki DaSilva.

In addition to visual and musical arts, the festival also showcased the following local culinary artists: Sole Mio, Sette Luna, Black & Blue, MeGs & MaDs, Pearly Baker's, and Ocean, with desserts from Sweet Girlz, The Terra Cafe and the Carmelcorn Shop.

that is a huge property, obsolete for any manufacturing, a waste of money to do anything, but level it, and hope to attract any good developer. if it was desirable pfiser is across the street and lafayette college would have grabbed it ,like those great properties at the foot of college hill,
