On early Sunday morning, Easton police shot and killed a bear that wandered into the city.
Officers made several attempts to tranquilize the animal, but weren't successful, Capt. Scott Casterline told the Morning Call.
To complicate matters, the Pennsylvania Game Commission wasn't able to respond the city's request for help because of a staffing shortage, the Express-Times reports.
