Task Force Charges Men With Peddling Meth
Police from Easton, Nazareth area make arrests in Upper Nazareth
Easton police say a Northampton County Drug Task Force investigation has led to the arrests of two Upper Nazareth men accused of making and selling methamphetamine drugs in Easton, Nazareth and Phillipsburg.
On Wednesday afternoon, officers from the Easton, Upper Nazareth and Colonial Regional police departments served a search warrant on 299 Friedensthal Ave. in Upper Nazareth. In the home, police say they found methamphetamine valued at $1,400, close to $4,300 in cash, plus nearly 300 pseudoephedrine tablets -- used for making the drug -- as well as other drug paraphernalia.
The task force arrested two men -- James Schaffer, 49, and Timothy Getz, 27 -- who both lived in the home. They were arraigned before District Judge John Capobianco on numerous drug and conspiracy charges, and sent to Northampton County Prison under $5,000 bail.
