South Side Easton Homicide Victim Identified
Paul A. Murray, 44, was shot and killed in Easton Sunday night.
The Northampton County Coroner has identified the man who was killed Sunday night in Easton.
Paul A. Murray, 44, died of a gunshot wound said Coroner Zach Lysek, who ruled Murray's death a homicide.
Murray's last known address was in New York City, Lysek said, although he had been staying at various places around Easton.
His body was found late Sunday night in the vicinity of McKeen and Nesquehoning streets, after police went there for a report of gunfire.
Police are seeking a vehicle that may have fled from the scene -- possibly moving west on Nesquehoning and then west again on Canal Street.
Anyone with any information on the case should call Inspector Daniel Reagan at 610-250-6796 or 610-759-2200.
Murray's death was the second homicide on the South Side in a little over a week, and the fifth overall for the city in 2012.
