The Easton Area School Board has a new president.
At its annual reorganization meeting Thursday night, the board appointing former Vice-President Kerry Myers as its new president. Myers received a vote of 5 to 3 and 1 abstaining in favor of his appointment. He replaces Patricia Fisher who served for as president for the past two years.
Board member Pat Vulcano, Jr. led the audience in applause for the job that Fisher has done as president.
"It's been a tremendous two years," Vulcano said. "We have moved ahead and we're trying to move ahead more."
Appointed as board Vice President was Timothy Reilly, who will replace Myers. He was appointed by a vote of 5 to 3 with 1 abstaining. The board also decided to keep all members of the board will remain in their current committees.
Also on the agenda was the reappointment of solicitor Alan McFall. Board members decided to table his reappointment bid voting 5 to 4 in favor of the table, but gave no reason why.
According to the resolution his salary would remain the same as it was in 2010. The board will discuss the matter at the next scheduled meeting.
