Report: Judge OKs 'Boobies' Breast Cancer Awareness Bracelets for Easton Students
Middle school students plan to resume wearing the controversial bands
A federal judge has ruled that Easton public school students can wear so-called "boobies" bracelets intended to promote breast cancer awareness, according to this Morning Call report.
The judge said she found no evidence that the bands are lewd or disruptive. The controversial jewelry was worn by students at Easton Area Middle School.
The case has attracted interest well-beyond the Easton area. Phiadelphia's CBS affiliate was Thursday's school board meeting to get reaction from board members. And Great Britain's Daily Mail reported on the lawsuit as well. The lede on that story: "The judge was no boob."
