Prize-Winning Poet Will Debut Book in Easton

Bethlehem native Matthew Hittinger will read from his "Skin Shift" at Mercantile Home.

 

Bethlehem native Matthew Hittinger, an award-winning poet and writer, will debut his new book "Skin Shift" at Easton's Mercantile Home .

Hittinger will read from his book Sunday, Oct. 14. Mercantile Home will hold a release party from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. 

“We are excited to be the Lehigh Valley boutique selected to release this charming book. It is a perfect match for our current collection, LOCAL COLOR, which is inspired by colorful personalities, histories, and locales from around the Lehigh Valley,” Mercantile Home co-owner Ron Morris said in a news release.

Among Hittinger's honors are the Hopwood Award for Poetry and The Helen S. and John Wagner Prize, the Kay Deeter Award from the journal Fine Madness, two Sundress Best of the Net nominations, and nine Pushcart Prize nominations.
