Police Investigate South Side Gunfire
Easton police look for public's help in reported gunfire early Monday on W. Berwick Street.
Easton police are looking for a man suspected of firing several gunshots in a South Side neighborhood early Monday.
The Express-Times reports police responded to a report of gunfire around 3 a.m. in the 300 block of W. Berwick Street.
No injuries were reported, and police discovered no property damage. Investigators found evidence that the suspect had fired six shots.
Police are looking for a man who had been seen in the area before the shooting. He's black, 6-foot-1, thin, and was wearing dark pants and a white T-shirt.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at 610-250-6647.
The scene of Monday morning's investigation was just a few blocks from the place where Easton police Officer Eric Campbell shot a suspect during a similar incident Aug. 21.
Last week, District Attorney John Morganelli cleared Campbell of any wrongdoing.
