Police: Glendon Woman Stabs Boyfriend, Boyfriend's Father
Alana Lee Rehrig, 26, jailed on assault charges after allegedly stabbing two men in Glendon Saturday.
On Christmas Eve, a Glendon woman declared “I feel like killing you” to either her boyfriend or his father – she couldn’t remember which one – and then stabbed both of them with a 12-inch butcher knife, according to court records.
The incident started when the suspect, Alana Lee Rehrig, 26, of 159 Main St., got into an argument with her boyfriend’s father, the records say. The father told police Rehrig, threatening to kill him, stabbed him in the left pectoral muscle of his chest.
The son tried to break up the fight by picking her up and pushing her to the ground. She then grabbed a Pyrex serving bowl and threw it, striking the father in the head, the father told police.
The son, meanwhile, told police that as he tried to restrain his girlfriend, she stabbed him in the middle of his upper lip. The father and son refused medical attention.
About an hour after the incident, Rehrig admitted to police that she grabbed the knife and said “I feel like killing you,” although she could not remember to whom the statement was directed.
Rehrig was arraigned Christmas Day by on-duty District Judge Jackie Taschner of Palmer Township on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, terroristic threats and possessing instrument of crime. She was taken to Northampton County Prison after failing to post 10 percent of $75,000 bail.
The charges were brought by state police at Belfast, who were dispatched to assist Easton police with the call.
