Police: Forks Man Hid Drugs in Underwear

Easton police say Forks resident Rashon D. Turner had heroin and crack hidden in underwear.

Easton police arrested a 20-year-old man described as being “never employed” for loitering in the West Ward Tuesday.

But the charges expanded to drug possession and intent to deliver when he pulled a clear plastic corner-tie bag from his underwear. The bag, which he had stashed “under his testicles,” contained heroin and crack cocaine, court records say.

Rashon D. Turner, 20, of 9 Bennington Court, Forks Township – but who divides his time between the Easton area and Newark, N.J. – smokes marijuana three to four times a day, the records say. In addition to the heroin and crack cocaine, he had $738 and a cell phone on him.

He was one of three males seen around 5:38pm sitting and standing on the steps and sidewalk of 117 S. 12th St. for about 40 minutes. The three were arrested for loitering – the records do not identify the other two – and Turner was taken to the police station for processing. He did not have any identification providing a date of birth or address.

The corner-tie baggie, which Turner surrendered at the police station, contained 54 wax paper packets of heroin and four viles of crack cocaine. The records do not say how much the drugs are worth.

He was arraigned Tuesday night by on-duty District Judge Todd Strohe of Bangoron two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and one count of loitering. He was committed to Northampton County Prison after failing to post $40,000 bail.
