Police: Easton Man Punched Brother
Christopher Brown, 19, charged after fight on the South Side.
A 19-year-old Easton man was arrested late Tuesday for allegedly punching his brother during an argument.
Christopher Brown, of the 200 block of E. Wilkes-Barre Street, is charged with “punching and striking” his brother, Carl, in the head after a verbal argument, according to Easton police.
Officer Kevin Vanhorn was dispatched late Tuesday to the Brown residence for a report of a domestic dispute. Carl Brown told police his brother assaulted him by repeatedly striking him in the head, court records say. Vanhorn noted in court records that he observed redness and bruising on the right side of Carl Brown’s face and forehead.
Carl Brown told police his brother was likely headed to Phillipsburg. Soon after, however, police found Christopher Brown at the intersection of S. Delaware Drive and E. Nesquehoning Street – 0.3 miles from the Browns’ home.
Christopher Brown was arraigned early Wednesday by on-duty District Judge Joseph Barner of Lower Nazareth Township and charged with simple assault and harassment.
He is free on $2,500 unsecured bail and is temporarily staying at his sister’s house, court records say.
