Police: Easton Man Hid Drugs in Boot, Oven
William Miranda Sr. charged with drug offenses following search of South Side home.
An Easton man was jailed Wednedsday after police found cocaine and heroin hidden in a pair of his boots and in his oven.
According to the Express-Times, Easton police began investigating William Miranda Sr. after a young man was arrested on drug charges. He had been seen leaving Miranda's home on Lachenour Avenue.
Police say investigators searched Miranda's home last month and found 170 packets of heroin and 20 grams of cocaine hidden in a pair of boots, as well as heroin in his oven.
Miranda, 49, also allegedly had other drugs and packacking material in the home.
He is charged with possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, criminal conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was arraigned before District Judge Patricia Romig-Passaro in Bethlehem and sent to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $20,000 bail.
