Pleasant Valley Upends Easton, 8-6

Though the Rovers enjoyed a 6-0 through 6 innings, they lost to the Bears in 10 innings.

The Rovers had early momentum, but failed to hold onto it as they suffered their second loss of the season against Pleasant Valley Friday.

Justin Souders recorded his first loss of the season, though he held the Bears through 6 scoreless innings. Easton sophomore Nick Beinlich made several incredible catches deep in center field for a solid Easton defense. The Rovers pitching gave up six unanswered runs in the 7th inning by way of walks and clutch Bears hitting.

It was two extra innings before a team scored again: Pleasant Valley pulled through. Easton had runners in scoring position in both the 8 and 9th but could not get key hits off of the Bears pitching late. In a stunning upset, Pleasant Valley took the game.
