It sounds like a joke, and that's exactly what it started out as.

But over the years, the Plaid Art Show has become a serious staple of the Easton artists' community.

The 13^th Annual Plaid Show will run on Sundays from March 4 through April 29, 2012 at St. John's Lutheran Church on Ferry Street, and once again, submissions of striped, checked works are being solicited.

Fine art and fine art crafts are welcome in any medium, according to a recent announcement about the show. While each piece should incorporate plaid, non-plaid works will be accepted as well.

The registration fee of $13 per artist, less than past years' fees, commemorates the show's 13^th anniversary. The deadline is Feb. 24.
