Thousands of people came to Centre Square Saturday for the opening day of the Easton Farmer's Market. The theme of the day was the National Herb Festival, which meant a chance for kids to work on plant-centric art projects, and for visitors to sample thyme and rosemary flavored ice cream from the Purple Cow Creamery.

Vendors included local businesses such as Tombler's Bakery, Terra Cafe and Dale & Georgia's Barkery, as well as farms from Carbon, Monroe and Lehigh counties.

The market continues each Saturday from now until October.
