Parking Study Meeting Scheduled for Tuesday
Community forum on Easton downtown parking scheduled for 6:00 p.m. May 22.
On Tuesday evening, the city will host the second of two public meetings on its parking study.
Earlier this month, we polled residents on one of the proposals in the study, to change Easton's parking enforcement hours from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. to 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
A vast majority -- 86 percent -- of our readers said they wouldn't be in favor of the change.
And many commenters had other issues with parking in the city.
"Also it was noted that you could only park the maximum time," wrote Jerry Thomas. "Not sure what the maximum time was because it is not denoted on the meter. And if the maximum time is two or three hours, that is not enough time to enjoy the Sigal Museum, a meal or most of the downtown activities. I guess I will have to continue looking out of center city for my shopping and entertainment."
Tuesday's meeting is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. at the auditorium of the Crayola Factory.
