No Answers Yet in Michael Muretta Death
Autopsy finished for Williams Township man, but coroner says more investigation needed.
Lehigh County's coroner needs to do more investigation to determine the cause and manner of death of a Williams Township man.
The Morning Call reports that an autopsy was performed on Michael Muretta Thursday, but Coroner Scott Grim told the newspaper more investigation is necessary before he can make a ruling.
Muretta, 47, was found suffering from serious injuries in his home on Morgan Hill Road Wednesday morning. He was pronounced dead that afternoon at St. Luke's University Hospital, Fountain Hill.
The story also quotes Muretta's sister and brother-in-law, who described Muretta as a "gentle giant."
Speaking at a news conference Thursday on another matter, Northampton County District Attorney said he had no updates on the case and that one of his assistant prosecutors was conferring with state police.
