J. Morgan Opens Second Salon

Popular College Hill salon adds "home store" to its regular hair business.

Downtown Easton's newest hair salon has a familiar name.

J. Morgan, the popular College Hill salon, will open a second location at 252 Spring Garden Street starting Tuesday.

The new building—home to the Sanctuary Day Spa until it move to Bethlehem— will offer more than just hairstyles, said co-owner Jamie Thomas.

There's a space devoted to cuts and shampoos, of course. But head to the second floor of the building, and you'll find a blow-out bar, allowing customers to—as the salon put it in a news release— "walk out of the salon with dinner-date or event-ready hair."

The new salon also featues a "home store," featuring antiques, scented candles, and other home decor.

Every two months, said Thomas, J. Morgan will feature the work of a different local artist. (This month, it's Tom D'Angelo of Our Garage Space.)

To celebrate the salon will hold a grand opening there Saturday at 6 p.m., with food by Casera.

Starting Tuesday, hours will be 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
