Have You Seen Any Signs of Spring in Easton?

Let us know if you see signs of spring in Easton as we welcome the season with some unseasonably cool weather.

Spring officially began with the vernal equinox Wednesday morning, but it won't feel much like it since daytime highs will be stuck in the 40s all week. Last year, they were in the 70s! Daytime highs for our area average close to 50 in March.

Our current weather pattern will continue to "favor colder storms that bring snow, in part, from the Central states to the East into early April," according to Accuweather senior meteorologist Alex Sosnowski.

"The pattern may translate to a longer heating season, higher heating bills and more time, money and effort into snow removal later into the season than usual in some communities," he writes.

The local weather could improve slighty by the end of the week with sunny skies this weekend and a high of 45 on Sunday, according to the National Weather Service. And the days are getting longer if not much warmer.

Sunset Wednesday will be at 7:14 p.m. with dark descending at 8:46 p.m., according to the Old Farmer's Almanac.
