The Greater Shiloh Church will hold a food drive Saturday morning for Easton's neediest residents.

Distribution will begin at 11:30 a.m. at Shiloh Manor and Lehigh Manor, two residential communities close to the Shiloh campus on Easton's South Side.

In a news release, the church cited statistics from the Second Harvest Food Bank in Allentown saying that "more than 75% of the people seeking assistance at food pantries within the past few years did so for the first time.  Persistent unemployment and underemployment were identified as key factors that contributed to the increase."
