Five Things to Do This Weekend in Easton

Hallowfest Parade, Take Two, Boutique Easton begins, and a dog park opens.

The weekend is here, and once again, we've chosen some things you may want to check out in Easton over the next few days. And as always, we invite readers to add their own events.

1. Hallowfest Parade. This was supposed to happen last Sunday, but got held back by last Saturday's snowstorm. It begins at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in Phillipsburg, then heads across the river to Easton.

2. Boutique Easton begins. Several of Easton's downtown retailers will stay open later and offer special events throughout November and December. It kicks off Saturday evening with discounts at Carrie Anne's, a musical performance at Salvage Goods, and a book signing at Mercantile Home. For more information, visit the Boutique Easton website.

3. The Karl Stirner Arts Trail and Easton Dog Park have their official openings Saturday at 1 p.m. You -- and your dog -- can take a shuttle from the Hummel Lumber parking lot on Bushkill Drive to get there.

4.The Our Garage Space art gallery, at 42 N. Sitgreaves St., hosts an exhibition Saturday from 6 to 10 p.m.

5. Finally, I want to give some attention to my South Side folks here, because I'm happy/proud to see them using our events listings: Our Lady of Mercy hosts their Basket Bingo and Bazaar Saturday and Sunday.
