Five Things to Do in Easton This Weekend
The Farmers Market says farewell to Centre Square, and more...
Good morning everyone. After an oddly warm start to the week, November feels like, well, November. And with November comes the end of the Easton Farmers' Market, at least where Centre Square is concerned.
Saturday marks the market's final day in the square until May 2012. It runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. However, organizers will hold a six-week Holiday Mart from Saturday, Nov. 26 to Saturday, Dec. 17.
Also coming up this weekend:
- Easton Main Street Initiative presents its monthly "Dancing on the Thirds" at the Third Street Alliance, Friday at 7 p.m.
- Jazz guitarist Randy Napoleon performs Sunday afternoon at B'Nai Abraham Synagogue.
- Lafayette College's Chamber Orchestra performs Sunday night at 8 p.m. at the Williams Center.
- Ken Jones and Ron Morris, of Easton's Mercantile Home, are featured in a new book called Gay in America, which looks at gay couples across the country. Its author, Scott Pasfield, will be in town Saturday, giving a talk at the Grand Eastonian at 5 p.m., then heading next door to Mercantile Home for a book signing/reception at 6 p.m.
