Fire Destroys Tombler's Bakery

Family owned business in Glendon a staple of the Easton Farmer's Market

An early morning fire destroyed Tombler's Home Bakery in Glendon, according to news reports.

The Express-Times reported that the fire Saturday morning wiped out the business along Industrial Drive.

Owner Karen Drake had apparently been at the bakery Friday night, preparing hundreds of pies for this weekend's Blueberry Festival in Bethlehem. No injuries were reported.

Tombler's is a regular vendor at the Easton Farmer's Market, and the market on Saturday was taking donations to help the bakery. Donations can also be dropped off at the Easton Main Street Initiative offices at 35 S. 3rd Street this week.

Wow, I was away this weekend and didn't even realize this had happened so close by. What a shame. Their pies are great and we always visit them at the farmers market for a cookie.
Unrelated to the fire, is there a reason this section doesn't seem to time stamp and date the article? Followed a link on the side and had to go to the other site to see when it was posted.
