Easton Special Ed Supervisor Going to Parkland
Andrew L. Weber was appointed a supervisor of special education in the Parkland School District.
An Easton Area special education supervisor is headed to the Parkland School District.
Andrew L. Weber—who runs Easton's K-6 special education program—was hired Tuesday to work at Parkland.
Weber will earn $95,000. He replaces Jennifer Wood, who resigned two years ago as supervisor of special education, administration, to take a position in higher education, according to Robert Thornburg, director of student services.

The position had been eliminated, but the administration was able to move a position that opened in the technology department to the special education department after a resignation last month, said Nicole McGalla, director of community relations and development.
Weber will join a staff comprised of Louise Fick, supervisor of special education for K-12, and two coordinators.

Weber earned a bachelor's degree in sociology and elementary education in 2000 from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and a master's degree in special education in 2005 from National University. He earned a supervisor of special education certificate in 2008 from the University of Pittsburgh.
"Andrew has a great deal of special education experience that will assist him in being successful in this position," Superintendent Richard Sniscak said in a news release.
"Foremost, he possesses a dedication to serving young people and is extremely child-centered in his approach. We are excited to welcome him to the Parkland administrative team."
