Easton's School of Rock will begin its fall concert series next weekend at the Third Street Alliance.

As it has in the past, the school's performers will devote each show in the series to a specific artist or theme:

• The music of Dave Grohl, and the bands he's worked with -- Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Them Crooked Vultures, and Queens of the Stone Age. Saturday, Sept. 8 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 9 at 3 p.m.
• Ozzy vs. Dio: Students play songs from the solo careers of the two Black Sabbath frontmen. Saturday, Sept. 15 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 16 at 3 p.m.
• The Allman Brothers Band: A chance to showcase rock, blues, country and jazz stylings on songs such as "Midnight Rider" and "Melissa," "Whipping Post," "Mountain Jam," and "In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed."
