Easton Residents Face Drug Charges
Undercover state investigation leads to drug charges for Easton man, woman.
Two Easton residents are facing drug charges stemming from apparently unrelated investigations by state narcotics officers and city police.
Legustard Ward, 42, of 123 N. 2nd St., Apt. 303, was charged Friday with possession of a controlled substance, and possession with intent to deliver.
According to court papers, Ward tried to sell 10 packets of heroin to an undercover investigator at his apartment on March 15. When Ward was arrested, the agent found 114 additional packets of heroin, as well as $985 in cash.
In the second case, Todnetta Brown, 18, of 33 S. 8th St., is charged with theft, criminal conspiracy, and criminal attempt to deliver a controlled substance.
Court documents say Brown met with an informant at South 10th and Ferry streets. The informant allegedly gave Brown $90, and she was supposed to deliver $90 worth of ecstasy and cocaine. Instead, she simply kept the cash, investigators say.
Both Ward and Brown -- who had turned themselves in -- were free on bail Friday, following an arraignment before District Judge Gay Elwell.
