Easton Hits to Win at Whitehall
The Rovers de-railed the Zephyrs early, but Whitehall threatened late. Easton won, 9-5.
The Rovers are hitting the ball again. At Whitehall, Easton enjoyed a 9 run lead to Whitehall's zero - before the Zephyrs came up with five runs.
The Rovers attacked in the first inning to gain a 4-0 lead. Seniors Colin Case and Jon Bisci each hit a home run. Each of those hits came in with runners on base.
In the third inning, Bisci hit his second home run, bringing the score to 8-0. Later that inning, Greg Butto hit a RBI double.

The Zephyrs, however, managed to score 5 runs in the last few innings.
For Easton, Scott Anderson threw just 49 pitches over four innings. Dom Mancuso pitched in the 5th and 6th, and Alex Lawson closed the game. Lawson threw just four pitches to make three outs to seal the win for the Rovers.

Junior Ian Hayden, senior Kevin Nemeth and Case each had two hits. Case was 2 for 3 with a home run, one RBI and one stolen base.
Bisci's two home runs coupled with 4 RBIs set the tone for Easton's offense.
"We've been seeing the ball real well, here it was easier picking up the laces. Shoulda been over earlier," Bisci said following the game.
Easton will host Pleasant Valley tomorrow at 4 PM. This is followed by a 1 PM game against Bethlehem Catholic at Coca-Cola Park on Sunday.
