Easton Has More Than 4,600 Rentals

City inspector is tracking down properties not properly licensed as rentals

The city of Easton has more than 4,600 rental properties and a program to inspect them all is entering its fifth year, according to this Express-Times report.

Landlords who do not pay a $45 fee for every rental they own can be cited and fined. August 15 was the deadline for rental license applications. The fee now rises to $75 until September 15. After that, the fee jumps to $105.

The city's rental inspector is tracking down properties that are not registered including single-family homes now being rented out by the owner.

It's not rocket science as to why Easton is becoming a shit-hole town. I am doing everything I can to vacate this ghetto of a city.

"I am doing everything I can to vacate this ghetto of a city."
So, how can we help hasten the process of your departure?

Now, Christina, we all need to play nice in this sandbox. Even a dork like Paul may be able to contribute someting to make us better.
Or least give us something to entertain us. I've been known to say stupid things, too.

I am totally embarrassed by the Rock Church being listed as one of the owners of a blighted property in this article. It embarrasses me that a church family cannot get together and clean up this property and use it for some good purpose. It could be used for a homeless shelter, classrooms for a Christian school, a haven for spousal abuse victims, teenage mothers, etc. Come on Rock Church repent of your negligence and stop embarrassing other Christians in our area. It is hard enough as it is witnessing to others without a Christian church embarrassing us like you are.

With the gangbangers who would want to live or move back to Easton?

Milton, it's not only the Rock Church property, but also the Armory and many others, where those owners truly don't care. Rock Church needs to sort out its own issues with the property, but "other Christians in our area" would do well to reach out to Rock Church to find out what's truly going on. I don't go to Rock Church and the property IS horrendous, but I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that they plan a well-intentioned project that is just too overwhelming for one congregation: "What you are doing is not good. You and the people with you will certainly wear yourselves out, for the thing is too heavy for you." So if other so-called Christians are concerned about the property, or embarrassed, perhaps they should lift a hand to offer help, and perhaps Rock Church should humble itself enough to publicly ask for help. (Exodus 18:17-23).
