Our Lady of Mercy church in Easton needs $3 million to repair its South Side building, according to the Express-Times.

The paper quotes Matt Kerr, spokesman for the Allentown Diocese, who said the church would have a tough time coming up with the funds. The repairs would include fixing the Our Lady of Mercy ventilation system, as well as water damage to the structure itself.

The church's website says the parish has just a little over $80,000. Kerr said Our Lady of Mercy will have to give the diocese its plan for how to proceed by July 1.
