Former Saturday Night Live star Dana Carvey will perform at the State Theatre next year, his second show there since 2011.

Carvey -- known for both his numerous celebrity impersonations and characters such as the Church Lady and "Wayne's World" co-host Garth -- will perform Thursday, May 2 at 8 p.m.

In addition to SNL, Carvey also appeared in two blockbuster Wayne's World movies. His sketch comedy show, while short-lived, boasted a writing staff that included future stars such as Stephen Colbert, Steve Carrell and Louis C.K.

Tickets for his show -- at $47 and $52 go on sale to theatrer members Friday, December 14 at 10 a.m., to the public the following Friday.
