Calling All Easton Republicans...

We want to hear from you about the 2012 race.

This had much less of a news hook a few hours ago.

Basically, I was going to ask Easton area Republicans to write in (or tweet, or post something on our Facebook wall) about who they were supporting in the 2012 Pennsylvania GOP primary.

And now that field seems to have shrunk a bit, with former Sen. Rick Santorum suspending his campaign two weeks before the primary.

Still, we want to hear from his supporters, as well as people backing Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul (who was still on the attack against Romney Tuesday).

So let us know by e-mail tom.coombe@patch.com. You can also post your thoughts in the comments section, write on our Facebook wall, or reach us on Twitter at @EastonPAPatch.

Nice try, Tom, but sorta useless. Easton doesn't have any Republicans. Yeah, sure, there's me and a handful of faithful wherever they may be; but it really is the kiss of death to be an R in Easton. I cite Tony Bassil, elected as an R and quickly switched to D. He isn't a different person now... just more electable in Easton now.
Of course, Republicans will soon rally 'round Romney. Still, I'd like to see one or more of the others in a cabinet position. There might even be a place for Ron Paul.

Here's an interesting view of how Democrats and the media operate in the 21st century:
