Easton City Council changes its meeting time/place, fundraiser for the Peace Candle, and more...
1. Easton City Council meets tonight, rather than Wednesday, due to Yom Kippur. And the meeting will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church on the South Side, one of council's occasional visits to city neighborhoods.
2. Last month, we reported on new efforts to raise money to upgrade Easton's Peace Candle. Here's another one: DeLorezno's Italian Restaurant -- 1210 Knox Ave. in Forks Township -- will donate 10 percent of sales between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. this evening to help restore the candle.

4. Easton's Block Watch holds its quarterly meeting Thursday at 7 p.m. at the River of God Fellowship church at 813 Reynolds St.
