2. This week's Easton Planning Commission meeting has been cancelled. The commission will meet again September 7.

3. Noel Jones on the NID, which will likely be overhauled. The city is holding its second public meeting on the plan next week.

4. The Glendon Hill Bridge will be shut down later this week for repairs, according to the Express-Times

5. On August 2, 135 years ago, Wild Bill Hickok was murdered in the town of Deadwood. Both Pete Dexter's novel Deadwood and the HBO series of the same name are highly recommended, although present very different versions of a lot of the main characters.
