5 Things to Do in Easton This Weekend

Music for MS at Trinity Episcopal, walk your dog along the Delaware Canal, and more...

Good morning everyone. Time once again to look at what's happening this weekend in Easton.

1. Musician Pamela Taylor will play a benefit concert for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Sunday at 2 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church. Taylor -- who was diagnosed with MS a few years ago -- will be joined by a group of other musicians. There's no official cost for admission, but the church suggests a donation of $15.

2. Easton's School of Rock hosts a Battle of the Bands for anyone in grades 6-12, Friday night at 7:30 at the Family YMCA of Easton, Phillipsburg and Vicinity. Admission is $5.

3. Panache Hair Designs on Second Street hosts a "Chocolate Spa Party" Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The salon is offering a variety of services, plus refreshments courtesy of Easton's Sweet Girlz Bakery.

4. For dog owners: get some exercise for yourself and your pet Sunday at 2 p.m. at Wy-Hit-Tuk Park, about 2 miles south of Easton on Route 611. The Delaware Canal State Park is offering a roughly three to four mile walk along the canal. From their news release: "Dogs must be on leashes 6 feet in length or less and must be friendly toward people and other dogs. For more information, please call Sarah Berg at 610-982-0161 or e-mail sberg@pa.gov. Online registration requested.

5. The Gallery at St. John's Presents the artwork of William Gothard and the artists of L'Hotel Splendide, Sunday from noon to 3 p.m. at the Gallery, 330 Ferry St.
