5 Things to Do in Easton This Weekend

Kenny Rogers and the Dog Whisperer at the State Theatre, and more...

"Kenny Rogers and the Dog Whisperer."

It would be pretty cool if "the Dog Whisperer" was the name of Kenny Rogers' backing band—like Neil Young and Crazy Horse—but of course, those are two separate shows this weekend at the State Theatre, both on this week's list of weekend events in Easton.

1. The Dog Whisperer is, for those who've avoided talk shows and Animal Planet, Cesar Milan. He'll appear at the State Theatre Friday at 8 p.m. to talk about how he changes pet—and pet owner—behavior. On Saturday, country music icon Kenny Rogers will take the State's stage Saturday at 8 p.m.

2. Catch The Arabian Nights, performed by Lafayette College Theater, Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. at the college's Williams Center.

3. The Hoochie Coochie Men play Friday at 10 p.m. at Porter's Pub.

4. If you're a fan of '50s and '60s rock 'n' roll, head to Temple Covenant of Peace's fundraiser Sunday at 6 p.m., which will feature performances by Lenny Longo of Bill Haley’s Comets and Elvis impersonator Jonny M. For tickets, call (610) 253-2031.

5. Mercantile Home celebrates its spring collection, Arcadia, with a reception from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday.
